Jude Bellingham keeps scoring - Sheraldo Becker & Bayern write history

Sheraldo Becker has written UEFA Champions League history on Tuesday. The Union Berlin striker became the first Surinamese national team player to score two goals in a Champions League fixture (excluding qualifiers). Becker recorded his brace in the first half against SC Braga (30’ & 37’). The 2-0 lead, however, was not enough as Sikou Niakaté (41’), Bruma (51’), and Castro scored to give Braga a 3-2 victory.

The defeat certainly overshadows what could have been a fantastic evening for Becker. This season, Becker became just the tenth Surinamese national team to feature in the Champions League, the third to score, and the first to record a brace in a single game. Becker, in fact, is just one goal away from becoming the Surinamese national team player with the most goals in the competition. The 28-year-old striker currently shares the record with Tjaronn Chery, who scored against PSG (1-3) and Benfica (1-6) last season.

While Union Berlin are still looking for their first Champions League win, fellow Bundesliga side Bayern Munich have extended an incredible run in the competition. The Bundesliga giants beat Copenhagen 2-1 and are now unbeaten in their last 36 Champions League group-stage games and have won 15 in a row. They have also won the last 18 group-stage games on the road. All three of those runs are Champions League records. Bayern haven’t lost a road game in the Champions League group stage dating all the way back to Sep. 17, 2017, when they lost 3-0 to PSG in France.

Jude Bellingham can't stop scoring for Real Madrid

Jude Bellingham was once again on the scoresheet on Tuesday as Real Madrid overcame Serie A champions Napoli (3-2).
