Former Man City star Yaya Touré ends career - Joins Olimpik Donetsk coaching staff
Former Manchester City star Yaya Touré has ended his career and will join Ukrainian side Olimpik Donetsk as an assistant coach. The 37-year-old Ivorian announced the move on Thursday. Touré last played for Qingdao Huanghai in China, but after his contract expired in Jan. 2020, the player never made an announcement about his future.
Touré played 97 games for Ivory Coast and, between 2011 and 2014, was voted Africa's footballer of the year four times in a row. In 2015 he also won the Africa Cup with Les Éléphants. Touré played eight years for Man City and won the Premier League three times. The midfielder also won the Champions League in 2009 with Barcelona (all his titles at a glance).
