Vålerenga IF Fotball (Vålerengens Idrettsforening) is a football club from Oslo, Norway, and was founded on July 29, 1913. Home ground is the Intility Arena with a capacity of 17.333 seats. The club's colors are blue, white and red. The club celebrated its first championship title in 1965. The early 1980s was the most successful time for Vålerenga, they won the championship in 1981, 1983 and 1984. In 2005, after a dry spell of more than 20 years, the club became champions again with a razor-thin margin. Vålerenga has won the Norwegian Cup four times: in 1980, 1997, 2002 and 2008. Vålerenga IF Fotball is part of the sports club Vålerenga IF, whose other sports are ice hockey (Norwegian record champion), handball, American football, hockey and indoor bandy.
